Tutankhamun's bed
A great number of beds were found in King Tut's Tomb. One of the beds could be
folded up and was used for traveling. The picture above is an examples of a
gilded wood bed with an intact base of woven string. In these days, a headrest
would most commonly be used instead of a pillow. Also, the rectangular gold
board at the end of the bed was used as a foot-board and not as a head-board as
in modern beds in this day in age. The frame of the golden bed is supported by
feline looking legs. If you noticed that the bed is a little small compared to
the average adult length body today its because long ago the people were much
more petit and stubby as adults compared to now.
